Summer
Hiking, Biking or just enjoying the View...

The small town of Hopfgarten with its historical centre, narrow, cobbled streets, and a marvellous baroque church is one of the sunniest communities in the Kitzbühel Alps.

The SkiWelt (www.skiwelt.at), “Austria’s biggest mountain experience”, attracts guests not only in winter, but also in summer with 700km of hiking trails, 400km of mountain bike trails as well as six mountain theme parks, including the legendary “Hexenwasser” (www.hexenwasser.at) which you can reach comfortably by cable car.

Lakes, theme parks, and “Wasserwelten”…

Located a leisurely 20 minute walk away from the Landhaus Tirol, you’ll find the theme park “Salvenaland”, which includes a summer toboggan run, a playground, a mini golf course, a bowling alley, as well as a lake and a pool for swimming. More information at www.salvena-land.at

Families with small children can enjoy a welcome change at the lake Filzalmsee (www.filzalmsee.at) with the “Sleeping Giant” and the “Giant’s sandbox”.

Even a rainy day will not take away your fun: Enjoy Tirol’s largest and most beautiful pool experience in nearby Wörgl. www.woerglerwasserwelten.at

Those who are looking for absolute tranquillity and untouched nature will find these at the hiking region “Kurzer und Langer Grund” where the end of the valley stretches to the border of the state of Salzburg.

Traditions and culture

Experience Tyrolean customs and ancient culture in our region. Discover traditional craftsmanship and enjoy regionally made products like cheeses, bacon, and schnapps. Travel through time watching Tirol’s most beautiful “Almabtrieb” (a ceremony in which cattle is brought down from the alpine meadows to the valley before winter).
